Batch processing is where records are processed in groups of a specified amount at a timely interval. This allows the web server to better manage its resources if your website tends to have very high traffic. By default, batch processing is turned off, which means records are processed as soon as they are submitted.
In order to enable or disable batch processing, you must navigate to the Portal Configuration Settings under the Settings & Configuration option which is under the Administration tab.
Once there, navigate to the Record Processing page which is under The Portal Connector collapsible tab. Then, click on the Enable Batch Processing checkbox to synchronize your articles. In addition, you may also configure the amount of records to the processed and the time between each batch process.
