Create Siteifnity Site Project for Your Portal Site

Sitefinity needs to be installed and configure to install The Portal Connector. If your Sitefinity site is already installed and configured you can move on to Install TPC.

Create an empty database in your SQL server

Create a SQL user and map him to the database created in the previous step, then ensure that this SQL user has db_owner permissions on this database created in step-1.

Creating a new Project

Run your Sitefinity Project Manager and Press Create New Project​. ​Step through wizard and fill all the required details

Once the portal site project has been created, select your portal site from the list and under Actions, press browse to open the site project start up in the browser;

Site Setup

Please note that when you first install Sitefinity, don’t select SQLExpress even if you are using SQL Express, simply select Microsoft SQL Express in the provided options.
