The Donation Button page widget allows an end-user to contribute a monetary donation of their choice through a simple form. This widget will allow you to choose whether donating will allow the end user to comment or not.

Configuration

Basic Setup

  1. From The Portal Connector (Ecommerce) widget list, click and drag the Donation Button widget onto the body of your page.

  2. Click on the edit button to display the prompt for the widget. It should look like this:

  3. When you are finished configuring the widget, click save to save your changes.

Basic Properties

Minimum Donation Amount

This advanced property allows you to set the minimum donation amount that a user is required to donate. By default, this is set to 0.10.

Maximum Donation Amount

This advanced property will allow you to set the maximum amount that an end user is allowed to donate. By default it is set to 10,000.

Allow Comment

This property, if checked, will provide the user with a text area to provide a comment in addition to their donation. This will be shown on the donation record.

 

Donation Description

This property allows you to set the description of a donation which will be reflected in the donation record and in the shopping cart summary..

Donation Name

This property allows you to set the name of a donation, which will be reflected in the users' shopping cart as well as the donation record.

Submit Action

This property will allow you to determine what will happen when a user clicks on the donate button. Firstly, None will simply do nothing other than submit the donation once the donation button has been clicked. Redirect to a Page will redirect the user to a specified page once the donation has been submitted. Finally, Refresh will refresh the entire page once a donation has been submitted.

Advanced Properties

Advanced properties provide additional functionality. They can be accessed by clicking on the "Advanced" Button in the bottom right corner of the widget designer.
