Knowledge-Base
TPC Knowledge base widget allows you to display list of knowledge base articles. This widget also allow to display details of an individual knowledge base article.

Configuration

Drag and drop the knowledge base widget and click on the edit button and the widget designer will open.

Basic

On the Basic tab, you can configure the following:

Article Limit: Sets how many articles to display on the list view of the Knowledge Base widget.

Article Sort Method: How to sort the articles; Alphabetical, Most Popular, Most Recent or Top Rated.

Article View Method: How to display the Knowledge Base article details when clicking to drill down to the details. On the same page or in a specific page.

Use Only as Details View: This option hides the list view portion of the widget and will only show details of articles depending on the URL.

Sort Ascending: This option allows you to control the sorting of the Knowledge Base articles.

Filters

On the Filters tab, you can set parameters to filter the Knowledge Base articles. You can configure the following:

Status Filters:  Allows you to filter Knowledge Base articles by the Status Code

Subject Filters: Allows you to filter the Knowledge Base articles by the assigned subject.

Widget Properties

Basic Properties

Article Limit

Allows to limit the articles that display on the widget. The default value is 100.

Article Sort Method

Allow you to sort the articles. you can sort the articles by  : Alphabetical, Most Popular, Most Recent, Top Rated

Article View method

You can choose how you like to open the Article. Allowed values are : OpenSamePage , OpenInSpecificPage

Use Only as Details View

Enables to use the widget to only display detail view. 

Sort Ascending

Enable Article Sorting ascending order

Hidden

The Hidden checkbox will hide the widget from the page when checked.

Status Filters

Filter the article by the status.

Subject Filters

Filter the articles by Subject

EnableBootstrapStyles

The EnableBootstrapStyles property gives the user the ability to enable or disable the Boostrap style  that added in to the current form. By default, this property is set to True. 

EnableKendoThemes

The EnableKendoThemes property gives the user the ability to enable or disable Kendo themes provided by Kendo. Kendo themes are applied to all the TPC widgets that uses Kendo UI Widgets.

EnableKendoRtlSupport

The EnableKendoRtlSupport property gives the user the ability to enable or disable the Right to Left Support on the current form. By default, this property is set to False.

KendoTheme

The Kendo Theme property enables you to set a kendo theme to the form. Here are the list of kendo Themes that you set for this property;

  • Black
  • BlueOpal
  • Bootstrap
  • Default
  • Fiori
  • Flat
  • HighContrast
  • Material
  • MaterialBlack
  • Metro
  • MetroBlack
  • Moonlight
  • Nova
  • Office365
  • Silver
  • Uniform

Advanced Properties

Advanced properties provide additional functionality. They can be accessed by clicking on the "Advanced" Button in the bottom right corner of the widget designer.

Article Limit

Allows to limit the articles that display on the widget. The default value is 100.
