The Reinitialize Portal button will reinstall any missing default modules, update any older default modules, and create any missing backend pages among a number of other things. Reinitializing the portal is required when you update your portal website. This ensures that you have the latest Portal Connector components available on your Sitefinity site.

The
Reinitialize Portal button will reinstall any missing default modules, update any older default modules, and creates any missing backend pages among other things.
In order to reinitialize your portal, you must first navigate to the
Portal Connector Configuration settings under the
Settings & Configuration option which is under the
Administration tab.
Once there, make sure that you're on the
General Settings page which is under
The Portal Connector collapsible tab. Then, click on the
Reinitialize Portal button to reinitialize the portal.
Method #2
The
Initialization checkbox option is used to control if your portal connector is initialization or uninitialized. If unchecked, you must restart your web server for the portal be reinitialized.
In order to reinitialize the portal, you must first navigate to the
Settings page which is under the
Settings & Configuration option which is under the
Administration tab.
