Would really like to see a way to enable portal users to remove/disassociate records from 1:N and N:N relationships

    Hi Richard,

    Thank you for the suggestion.

I believe we already have those features using the SubGrid widget.

Would you happen to be using a grid?

    Regards,
    Rawdon

    Hey Rawdon,

I am using subgrids and I am not aware of a way to remove a record from a relationship without deleting the record. I would like to see a way to remove a record from a 1:N or N:N relationship without deleting the record. Am I missing a way to do this with the current subgrids?

    Thanks,

    Rich

    Rawdon,

I now see that this is available with the subgrids. I had just assumed the "Allow Delete" setting on the subgrid actually meant allow them to delete the record not remove it from the relationship but I guess I had not actually tested this. I have now tested this and this setting removes the record from the relationship but does not delete it from Dynamics. For any others that come across this, you can also update the confirmation message in the Sitefinity backend under "Administration --> Labels and Messages".

    Thanks,

    Rich
