We have issues with zip files that get uploaded through the portal and saved in SharePoint.

The issue is that we cannot unzip some of them.

We have experienced this a lot.  We have many instances when zip files cannot be unzipped, after they are uploaded, but when they are emailed to us, we can unzip them, with no issue.

We get an error message when trying to unzip some of the uploaded files.

    "Compressed (Zipped) Folders Error

The “Compressed (Zipped) Folder Is Invalid”

It does not happen every time, we have instances where a number of zipped files are uploaded, by the same person into the same SharePoint folder, some are ok and can be unzipped, and others throw up an error when we try to open them.

    Hi PJ,

Thank you for providing the above details.

It is possible that the size of the compressed files maybe the issue, the entire file may not have been completed when uploaded to SharePoint, which maybe the reason you are unable to open them.

Adjusting the File Chunk Size under your SharePoint General Settings to a lower size may help with responsiveness and ensuring that the entire file is saved  for download.

This can be accomplished by going to:
Administration -> Configuration -> SharePoint General Settings
    (example: 1024, 512 or 256)

Please also check your SharePoint to determine if you have any 0 byte files stored there.

Another thing you might want to check is on the SharePoint Grid - Edit - Advance - Model - ConcurrentUpload change from "True" to "False

Once set to "False" on all of the grids it uploads one at a time to make the end user experience better.

I hope this information is useful.

    Regards,
    Rawdon
