Duplicate Nicknames

    We noticed that the Nickname field in the Portal User record was equal to the Full Name of the contact record when creating a portal user from a contact in Dynamics. When two contacts have the same Full Name it caused an error due to duplicate Nickname. 

    I found this documentation on isNickNameUnique setting and want to be sure we can set to false without impacting TPC.

    Hello Eric,

    Thank you for posting your query.

    My apologies. I'm not sure if this workaround impacts the functionality or not. However, we just had an update for this issue in build 136. Please find below note.

    "- Resolved an issue where 'nickname already exist' error gets thrown when a user tries to register on the portal even though username is different from other user that shares common name."

    Just closing the loop here if others run into this issue. The article referenced in my original post does work to allow duplicate Full Name / Nickname without need for minor upgrade.
