    Hi Team,

Can you let me know if changes to  1.) minRequiredPasswordLength and  2.) minRequiredNonalphanumericCharacters will affect only new passwords, or also existing ones?

Main issue: max false password attempt settings do not fire. Wonder if the issue explained at https://community.progress.com/s/article/login-password-requirements-to-comply-with-guidelines could be the solution.

    Thank you,
    Eva

    Hello Eva,

Thanks for reaching out through the forums.

The changes for 1.) minRequiredPasswordLength and  2.) minRequiredNonalphanumericCharacters only take affect for new passwords.

For the max false password attempt problem. After changing the settings did you try restarting the server?

Since that is tied to the .NET membership provider settings, you might need an app pool restart.

    Kind regards,
    -Ian
