    Hello.

Could you please tell me is it possible to remove "Dynamics CRM FaultException: " part of the portal error message coming from CRM InvalidPluginExecutionException?

    Thank you very much.

    Hi Dmitriy,

As of The Portal Connector v4.3 this is not possible. However we have added this to the road map for a future TPC 4.3 release that will prevent these extended messages from being added on to the front-end form submissions.

In the meantime you can try using the Custom Error Message feature on the TPC Form Manager to hide this message and provide your own.

    Regards,
    Clinton

    Hello Lynn,

The Dynamics CRM FaultException section of the TPC Form Submission error was removed in The Portal Connector version 5.0. Now all that is displayed is the outer CRM error message that was encountered during form processing.

By default, a TPC Form Submission will show a generic error message to the user to prevent CRM details from being shown to the user as well as overly complex error messages. It is possible to show the error message that is thrown from CRM in the front-end of the TPC Form Submission through the TPC Form Manager. Click Edit on the TPC Form Manager, then click the tab labeled Error Handling. Within this tab, you can enable the checkbox titled Show Error. This will show CRM errors in the TPC Form Submission error message. You also enable the checkbox labeled Show Custom Error which will allow you to explicitly define the error message that is shown when the form processing fails.

{TPC Form Manager} -> Edit -> Error Handling -> Show Error -> (optional) Show Custom Error

If you have any other questions please feel free to reply to this thread, or for more complex issues you can email support@crmportalconnector.com.

    Cheers,

    Josh
